Throughout my career, I discovered the importance of contributing to society not only with my research but also by doing social work. Since 2016, I have joined different organizations to achieve that.
- REPU Program (Research Experience for Peruvian Undergraduates)
In REPU I am the admission leader for the ecology line (EcoREPU). Every year, we select undergraduate students interested in ecology and related lines to conduct a research internship at the world’s best universities.
- Sciall.org
I am the Executive Vice President of Sciall.org, a non-profit whose mission is to expand and diversify public interest in science. We use vlogs to tell authentic and personal stories of scientists and how they ended up in this fantastic career.
- Proyecto Ekpapalek
Ekpapalek’s Mentoring Program offers mentoring sessions for Latin American students to help them achieve their professional dreams. I was a mentor of Ekpapalek during 2016-2018 and I wrote articles for the Ekpapalek’s blog, which currently have reached up to 10,000 readers. Here you can find the links to my articles:
